A Decision-Focused Workshop
Format
Many management planning workshops suffer from too little preparation and follow-thru. This means the team has to batter through the subject as a group rather than revising 'straw men' or selecting from 'options' prepared earlier by staff, consultants and other specialists. The result is that overall effectiveness suffers (as most of the work is conducted in the meeting by the entire executive team) and progress becomes painfully slow.
Chinook Solutions avoids this by facilitating each modular workshop in three stages with the bulk of the work being performed outside the meeting itself. The stages are:
Preparation Stage: 
To gather relevant data, synthesize it into knowledge & insights, prepare drafts and/or outline options, and schedule and organize the meeting.
Meeting Stage:
To coordinate logistics, facilitate discussions, encourage and record decisions, and solidify committments.
Follow-thru Stage:
To prepare documentation, coordinate action plans, ensure committments are met and initiate the next stage in the planning process.
