Allen is a seasoned, disciplined consultant with over 25 years of experience advising companies on improving performance and managing complex change programs. He has led many engagements transforming a client’s vision and business strategies into practical business solutions. Allen easily transitions from strategic to tactical, deploying innovative techniques, methods and tools to achieve bottom line results. He enthusiastically believes that to “Make Strategy Happen” it has to be accessible, understandable, and made relevant to all levels of the organization.
Since 2004, Allen has been very involved in the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Strategy Development and Implementation effort through the Strategic Management Program (SMP), Strategy 2013 and Destination 2025 efforts. He has worked throughout the organization; mapping the Strategy, identifying top initiatives, and implementing ATO’s strategic agenda. Prior to his long-term involvement with the FAA, Allen guided executive strategies from concept to achievement for many clients as a consultant with Gemini and Emergence Consulting.
Allen applies best practices like the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to weave strategic planning, performance metrics, initiative portfolios and implementation governance into the integrated, continuous process essential for effective strategic achievement. As a Principal with Gemini Consulting, Allen led Operations Improvement, Business Information Strategy and Knowledge Management engagements. He then co-founded Emergence Consulting, as an authorized spin-off from BSC creator David Norton’s firm, to concentrate on helping clients achieve customer driven, organic growth. Allen led Emergence ‘in the field’ deploying service offerings such as Value Innovation, Knowledge Management and the ‘Keys’ to Growth, Implementation and Learning.
|Manuel Reta Fernández BSc. MBA, Mexico City, Mexico
Manuel is a seasoned professional strategist with experience as both an internal leader and consulting advisor. After obtaining his MBA from INSEAD in France, Manuel spent six years with McKinsey and Company in Mexico and Brazil leading strategically vital projects in industries as diverse as financial services, postal couriers, infrastructure development, utilities and energy companies. Manuel left McKinsey to assume a functional leadership role as Director of Strategy Management for Mexico’s largest domestic insurer Grupo Nacional Provincial. He then returned to consulting, directing balanced scorecard engagements in Latin America and Russia for Symnetics before establishing Chinook Solution’s Mexican affiliate ATSC in 2007. Manuel has led strategy projects with prestigious clients such as McDonalds, PepsiCo and MetLife.
Manuel’s work with Grupo Nacional Provincial resulted in the first balanced scorecard implementation in Mexico to be recognized with the prestigious Hall of Fame award, granted by Drs Robert Kaplan and Dave Norton, creators of the balanced scorecard methodology. Manuel actively participated in a group with Drs Kaplan and Norton and other leaders from Hall of Fame companies in the definition of the processes of the Office of Strategy Management for The Palladium Group.
Manuel has helped the companies he has worked with, Grupo Nacional Provincial as internal leader and his clients as consultant, develop their strategy and align the organization to ensure its execution by linking key processes like budgeting, project management and performance evaluation.
He is a Palladium Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certified Graduate and is currently participating in the Stanford Advanced Project Management Ceritificate Program. Manuel has been a speaker in strategy management conferences in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and China.
