Lawrence Hobbs CMC PMP
Lawrence has led Chinook Solutions since founding the company in 1999. With over 30 years of varied international experience, he has the broad range of expertise and insights to help leaders identify and achieve their goals.
Lawrence’s career began early, meeting the diverse expectations of his family’s retail furnishing empire. His first real career took him, via an apprenticeship at the world famous Bletchley Park, to a role as an Air Traffic Engineer at Heathrow Airport. He subsequently supported the US Military in Germany as a civilian contractor and was part of a small team that won the Queen’s Award for Industry with Neotronics PLC, before joining Bombardier Aerospace in Canada in 1987.
Within Bombardier, Lawrence was assigned to Canadair, DeHavilland, Learjet and the Regional Aircraft Division performing transformational change leadership roles in Engineering, Manufacturing and Information Systems. After Bombardier, he managed information technologies, strategic planning and portfolio management projects with IBM, Renaissance and Emergence Consulting before establishing Chinook Solutions in 1999
Supported by his team at Chinook Solutions, Lawrence has been at the heart of over 100 engagements for clients in public, private and non-profit sectors and across a wide range of industries. He brings clarity to his client’s strategic visions, pragmatism and alignment to their consideration of alternatives, and focus to their execution efforts.
As a trusted advisor Lawrence has reassured business owners and investors, helping them to:

As a certified management consultant, project management professional and Prosci ADKAR change manager, he brings his associations’ bodies of knowledge to bear while respecting, and ultimately being held accountable to, their codes of ethical practice.
In addition to his accomplishments as a business advisor and public speaker, in 2008, Lawrence’s first book ‘Strategic DNA – Bringing Business Strategies to Life’ was published by Agate B2 in Chicago. Strategic DNA is a “how-to compendium” for the development and successful execution of broadly supported projectized strategies.

Angela leads Chinook’s research, project support and business writing activities. A published author in the health & wellness field – and a post-graduate educator trained in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Quebec and Alberta – Angela has applied her ‘knowledge mining’ and learning expertise in support of Chinook’s clients in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
Originally a schoolteacher with ESL, elementary and special needs classroom experience in Alberta, Quebec, England, Germany and the Canadian Arctic; she can draw on a wealth of referential experience for insight and understanding.
Angela has successfully supported the analysis of best practices, trends and uncertainties in diverse areas that include the;
- role of public libraries in the 21st century,
- changing nature of K-12 education in the 21st century
- provision of cost-effective quality financial services to low income families,
- development of a Health & Wellness industry ‘cluster’,
- implications of changing demographics for senior’s care,
- challenge of increasing physical activity within a municipality,
- design and application of primary healthcare teams at provincial levels,
- role of the personal environment in sleep and wellness

- best practices in venture capitalization for economic development.
As a key member of the Chinook Solutions team, Angela’s diverse roles include raw analysis, economic evaluations, root cause analysis, writing & editing, and publishing. She also oversees the preparation of the valuable workbooks and workshop visual aids that Chinook Solutions projects are noted for.
In May 2003 Angela published her first book, The Sick House Survival Guide, on the health effects of chemicals and electromagnetic fields in residential settings. This was followed by Sleep Powered Wellness (2011) a comprehensively researched exposé of the bedroom environment’s effect on a person’s sleep, wellness and productivity. She has since developed several associated workbooks and she frequently speaks at public events in the wellness field.
